ServNY

ServNY LogoThe ServNY volunteer management system, administered by the New York State Department of Health, Office of Health Emergency Preparedness, is a web-based registry of individuals who make themselves available to assist on behalf of New York State during an emergency.

Volunteers

Volunteers will be called upon when the response to an emergency or disaster requires more personnel and resources than local emergency response programs have on hand. Not every emergency will require volunteers. Emergencies could include severe weather emergencies, natural disease outbreaks, terrorism, or major accidents and disasters. Volunteers may be called upon to dispense medications and vaccinations, treat evacuees in an emergency shelter, augment healthcare facility staff, or assist in many other ways.
