Sheriff David P. Linder has been with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office since 1993, and has been Sheriff since 2022. Prior to his election, Sheriff Linder served as Undersheriff and Patrol Division Captain. Before that, he spent 12 years as a sergeant working on the road patrol and overseeing the Civil Division. He started his law enforcement career with the Warsaw Police Department being hired as a full-time officer in 1991. He also worked several years as a part-time officer for the Arcade Police Department. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Buffalo State College in Criminal Justice.
Undersheriff Colin P. B. Reagan was appointed Wyoming County Undersheriff on January 1, 2023 by Sheriff David P. Linder. Undersheriff Reagan has served with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office since 2005, and he also served on a part time basis with Warsaw Police Department and Perry Police Department. In his tenure with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, Undersheriff Reagan served as a Road Patrol Deputy, Road Patrol Sergeant, Field Training Deputy, and Field Training Supervisor. In addition to his road patrol duties, Undersheriff Reagan served the State of New York as a Drug Recognition Expert since 2013, and he was also certified as a Drug Recognition Expert Instructor in 2022. Undersheriff Reagan has received numerous awards throughout his tenure, including the Exceptional Service Award by Undersheriff Reagan attended Erie Community College in Orchard Park, NY where he graduated in 2004 with an Associate’s Degree in General Studies, and where he also achieved certification as a New York State Paramedic.
Secretary to the Sheriff
This position provides secretarial assistance to both the Sheriff and Undersheriff. This position also performs many clerical tasks for all divisions of the department while helping the Sheriff with budgeting.
